Working with TargetBound

TargetBound works with partners in four ways: affiliate, VIP affiliate, reseller and distributor. This page explains how each one works and how they differ, so you can see which fits you. It is for information only.

Affiliate

Who it is for: Coaches, players and tennis creators with an Instagram account of 15,000 followers or more, who want to recommend TargetBound to their audience.
How it works: You recommend TargetBound with your own link and your own discount code. Your audience orders from our website, so we take the payment and send the order. You register on our affiliate portal with your Instagram handle, we check it and set your tier, then you receive your link, your code and a private page where you accept the agreement. Your link is remembered for 30 days on the buyer’s device and commission is usually paid at the end of each month by bank transfer. After five sales through your link or code we move you to the VIP agreement.
What you get: 10% commission on the product value of every sale made through your link or with your code. Your audience gets 10% off the product. A private page with pictures and films to promote TargetBound and a dashboard showing your clicks, sales and commission. A starter offer: your own first order of up to four boards at 20% off, for your own coaching, playing and content.
What we ask: We ask that 7 of your last 10 posts are about tennis, that you have posted at least 10 times in the last 90 days and that at least half of your followers are in countries we sell to. We may ask you to show this from your Instagram Insights. One post or video introducing TargetBound within 30 days of accepting, then at least one a month for the first six months. Every post says clearly at the start that it is an advert and that you earn commission. You quote only the price on our website and the discount your link gives. You do not promote another rebound target or serve target while the agreement runs.
Best fits you if: You have an audience that plays or coaches tennis and you want to recommend TargetBound without holding stock or selling it yourself.

VIP affiliate

Who it is for: Larger accounts: 50,000 Instagram followers or more when you register, or fewer where there is other value, such as a recognised player or a member of a tennis authority, which we review individually.
How it works: It works like the standard scheme: your own link and code, orders from our website and commission usually paid at the end of each month. The difference is what we give you and your audience. We send you three boards and a fitted carry bag, free of charge and delivered at our cost, to coach and film with. The boards are on loan for the first six months and are yours to keep after that. They are for your own coaching, playing and content and not for resale.
What you get: 10% commission on every sale through your link or code. Your audience gets 12% off the product. Three boards and a fitted carry bag. The same private page and dashboard as a standard affiliate.
What we ask: The same as a standard affiliate. One post or video introducing TargetBound within 30 days of your boards arriving. At least one a month for the first six months. A clear advert label on every post. Only our website price and your own discount. No other rebound target or serve target while the agreement runs. If posting stops or slows we will talk to you about whether the arrangement still works for you.
Best fits you if: You have a large tennis audience and want to film with the product in your own coaching and content.

Reseller

Who it is for: Shops, clubs and other businesses that want to sell TargetBound to their own customers without holding stock.
How it works: You sell TargetBound on your own shop, in your own name, at a price you choose. When a customer orders, you place the order with us on your private order page, give us your customer’s delivery address and pay for that order by card. We hold the stock and send each order straight to your customer from the warehouse that serves your market. You take your customer’s order and payment and you are their first point of contact. The agreement starts with a three-month non-exclusive trial and then we review it together.
What you get: A reseller discount off our recommended retail price excluding VAT or sales tax, set out in your agreement. The recommended price is a recommendation only: you set your own selling price. No minimum order and no bulk purchase: you buy a board when a customer orders one. Product information, images, films and product support.
What we ask: You pay for each order before we dispatch it. Fulfilment and delivery are charged per order at the rate in your agreement. You say only what is true and what we can stand behind. You use our name, logo and pictures as supplied. You pass any warranty or returns case to us. You accept the agreement with a tick on your order page before your first order.
Best fits you if: You already have customers and a shop and want to offer TargetBound without buying stock in advance.

Distributor

Who it is for: Companies that distribute sports products in their own country or region and want to buy TargetBound in quantity and sell it on in their territory.
How it works: You buy stock in pallets and hold it yourself. We ship from our warehouse in China or in Germany, free carrier (FCA), once you have paid in full in US dollars. You sell in the territory you name when you accept, through your own channels, including your own websites and marketplaces. The appointment is non-exclusive: exclusivity only comes with a separate letter signed by both of us. We review progress together every six months and there are no fixed sales targets.
What you get: Stock at a wholesale price set in US dollars in your agreement. Approved photos, videos, product information and logos for your territory, kept in a private toolkit. A 12-month warranty for defects: we replace or credit confirmed defects and manufacturing flaws.
What we ask: You store stock safely. You give your customers after-sales and basic warranty support. You tell us promptly about complaints and product issues. You avoid claims we have not approved. Local marketing is your responsibility. A local website, domain or social media account that uses the TargetBound name needs our written approval first. You accept the agreement with a tick on the order page when you place your first order request.
Best fits you if: You run a distribution business with the storage, sales channels and customer support to take stock and sell TargetBound across a territory.
